The Convent S.hool Picnic, which was to have been htdd at the Waterworkn on Thursday, was held in the Drill Hall instead, the weather being so unsettled tha"; it was thought unwise to run thb risk of rain. In view of the downpour of rain which took place in thn tifternoon, the decision proved a wise one. The young people did not app ar to griuvo ov<sr tho change. A piano was secured, nnd dancing, singing, games in il.e liall and on the beach caused tho day to pass all too soon. There was a very largo attendauco, and iveryone seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly. ,
