UNITED SUNDAY SCHOOLS PIGNIC.
Tho Committee having charge of the United Sunday Schools' Picnic now report tho completion of the needed arrangements. Now all that is required to make this popular outing a decided (success is fine weather and a genorous response on the part of the public in the matter of attendance. It is scarcely needful to remind pirents of tho event as the little ones will bo sure to keep the matter befora their notice. Tho scholars, who are, of cours?, taken free, will have their tickets handed to them when forming the processiou ia Vivian-street, at St, Mary's School. A full attendance at the hour named (11 o'clock) is specially requested by the officials so that the procession may be a worthy one. For the benefit of the public a second train goes out at 2 o'clock. Elder scholars who may not be able to go out by first train can secure their tickets by applying to the superintendent of their school. In view of the heavy expenditure, which this excursion involves the cordial and numerous attendance of all friends who can spare the day is hoped for. The Spor's Committee met on Friday night and completed arrangements for an energetic carrying out of an attractive programme. Scholars who are fleet of foot and wt o have gifts in the direction of physical exercise, will find inducements to put forth their best efforts in this direction. The grounds at Bell Blo"k are so well known as to need neithor desc-iption nor puff, though small they effer a variety which is i:ot always to be found in the same compass. w ~e sincerely hope that overyone who can spare an after"o'.m will make a 'point of attending. Tms happy union of the Sunday Schr.ols is exceedingly pleasing and should be encouraged in every possible way and making it a financial success is one of the best ways kf doing sc.
