MINING NEWS.
The s'atutory meeting of the shareholders of the Kapai Gold Dredging Company was held at the registered offices cf the Company, No. 5, Panama street, on Tuesday, when there was a large number of shareholders represented. A balance-sheet was submitted to the meeting, which shewed that the I financial position of the company was in I a satisfactory condition. The following directors were elected by ballot: —Dr, McKenz'o, Messrs Fear, Cederhslm, Harris, Crichtou. Messrs Hood and Stare, of Greymouth, were appointed an advisary board to the Company. Mr Keinber was appointed auditor, and Mr Payne engineer for the company. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on the second Friday in February, 1902, and 'o list the company on the Dunedin Exchange.
