Aft a Meeting of the Victoria College ') Council W-night, it was reported that v 139 students attended the College 1 daises during the year, as against 103 > 1899. The number of stadents who \ • ksptternis was as fellows:-First year 49, second year 17, third year 8, total 74. The Ohairman, Sir Bobt. Stoat, euid the figures were v«7 satisfactory. . Ha did not think any college could ■how each progress in short a time. The Secretary stated that there were 105 applicants for Queen's Oellege as fellows:—Wellington 62, Masteries 32, Wamganui 6, New Plymouth 2, Nelson 5, Wertport 5, Hokitlika 8, Greyaeuth 3, Napier 4.
