WESLEYAN DISTRICT SYNOD.

At Wanganui, on Tuesday, the pastoral session of the Wanganui District Synod was opened at the Trinity Woeleyao Church, under the presidency of the Rev. Geo. Bond, chairman of tho district. The following members were present:—Revs. S. J. Oarlick, Ashcroft, Werpell, Ooonoll, Whito, Dukes, Lochore, Pennoy, Thomas, Spsnce, Aberaethy, Tuck, Vealie, Lavvry, and Elliott,

After luncheon, the Revs. T. Q. Hammond and Robt. Haddon, Maori probationers, attended and wtre welcomed. ■■',-', Feeling reference was made to tho death of the Rev, E. Best, Auckhnd, and a vote of sympathy sent to Mrs, Best and family. The following officers were then elected ;-S/cretary of the Synod, Rev. J. Dukes; Journal Secretary, Rev, T. W.
