_—« i FORMATION OF BEARER OORPB. A well attended meeting was held in '' the Drill Hail on Wednesday evening, t Dr. Home presiding. It having been rey solved that a Bearer Corps bo formed, s. Dr. Home was elected,the Officer Oomv manding, Messrs. W. Ambury, H. y e T. Ainsworth, H. Gilbert, 0. Johnson, and C. H. Moore, were appointed a k Oommitttee, with power to add to their it number, to arrange details. It was '■ decided to draw up a requisition, to be v signed by all the members, and for- ° warded to the Officer Commanding the District. Mr. E, Armitage attended „ the meeting, and supplied some very » valuable information that he had 11 gathered during a recent visit to Wei-' y lington. The requisition will be at [ e Messrs. Ambury Bros, shop, Devon y street, in a few days. The fact that » all the members of the proposed corps '° have passed examinations under the St. ,j John's Ambulance Association, should i. be a great inducement for the Governt. ment to accept their services.
