ENGLISH COMEDY COMPANY.
After touring England, America, and Australia, the English Comedy Company are delighting New Zealand audiences with their mirthful comedies whioh form their reperetoire. There is no doubt that Mr. L, J. Lohr, tha manager, knows what will hit the popular taste almost better than anyone else, and his judgment in these matters may generally be relied on. i The Dunedin exchanges to hand give a glowing account of the success which the company has achieved there, the Theatre being filled in every part on the opening, when "What Happaned to Jones" was presented. Most people go to the play to be amused, and it seems that everywhere Mr. Jones' adventures are told, the audience is in a continuous state of laughter from start to finish. Like many other things, it is not altogether so much the funny things which are said, but the irresistably droll way in which they are uttered. The company have 1 several comedies of the same mould, and as the members are said to he most capable comedy actors, their advent in all the towns to be visited will be looked forward to with keen interest and anticipation,
