CYCLING.

At a recent meeting of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen, a letter was received from E. Reynold* he had brought from the Rudge-Whis-worth Company a Silver Challenge Cup j to he presented to the League for competition amongst its amateur members. I'he cup is of solid silver, and said to be worth £IOO. ' An appeal was received from the Carterton Club, which protested against the action of the Wellington centre in granting a permits to the Wairarapa Cycling Clnb whilst refusing one to the Carterton Club. The League decided to ask the Wellington centre for the reasons which guarded its action. The affiliation of five Alliance Clubs at Auckland, Rotorua, Waikato, Ashburton, and Christchurch ; was confirmed.
