There was rather a poor muster at the inspection parade of the Taranaki Hides on Monday evening, for which the Biograph entertainment, no doubt, would be largely accountable. Sergt,Major Peacock, Staff Instructor, wan present, and put the company through various rifle exercises. Captain Okey intimated that he hoped to see the corps in khaki at the next parade. Lieut. Hooker has donated a trophy for competition for those able to go to the target on Saturday afternoons only. The Shooting Committee are to arrange details as to ranges and handicaps.
