KILLED BY A TRAM CAR.
m [m mm assooiation.] J Auctxato, October 17. An elderly man named John Brown, % fiaxmiller from Fort Waikato, was run orer by a tram car in Queen-street to-day. He somehow got in front of the car. The driver shouted and put on the brake, but Brown seemed to get dazed and did not move. One of the horses knocked him down, and the t£ wheels passed over his legs. He was taken to the hospital, where he died in the evening.
