RAHOTU.

(from our own correspondent,) Ose of our settlers here was bereaved last week, somewhat suddenly of their 8 year old daughter, Mabel Wiley. The interment took place in the Rahotu cemetery, on Thursday afternoon, many sympathising friends being present at the funoral. The children of the Weslevan Sunday School of which the deceased was a scholar, sang 1 a hymn at the graveside, the officiatingMinister being the Rev. John H. White, It was a beautiful sight to see her companions with their wreaths and flowers, in token of their affectionate regret. The family have the sincere sympathy of all.

| During last week the Wesleyan Church held a " Five Days Mission," It was conducted by Revs. W. Canned, 0. Penny, and John H. White, with most gratifying results. There was mu h dis ppointment that personal afflictiou prevented the Rev. S. J, Serp 11 being present.
