POISONING DOGS.
Sib,—Allow me, through the medium
of your paper, to call attention of the 'evil of dog poisoning in the Borough, and the heavy loss it may incur to owners of valuable dogs. On the 7th of this month a gentleman in the west
end of Devon street, had the misfor-
tone, to have one of his Gorden Setter ■A sluts poisoned by a low scoundrel. The owner of the dog is prepared to pay a reward of £2O to any person J- whoffiaygive him information which will , lead to the conviction of the low coward who committed the deed. It has cqme to .my knowledge that there are people in the habit of laying poison
in the Borough, and very valuable | dogs have been lost through such a dastardly practice. I am in great hopes that the gentleman mentioned will obtain a conviction for the poisoning of his valuable dog, and so as to <j{amp ont this, evil practice.—l am, etc., f ; r f Cave Canem.
