EXEMPLARY SENTENCES.
[ran p&ass Astoounox.] Wawuvui, July 3. In the District Court this morninf Judga Kettle sentenced Harry Thomson, an elderly man, to three yean' imprisonment and 25 lashes, for criminal assault. Thomson Hepburn, another elderly man, was sentenced to 1$ months and ten lashes, for a similar assault at Hunterville.
