RIOTING AT ST. HELIER'S.
A FEMALE SENTENCED XO IJII'KIaUNiJEN'f. (Received 30, 1.30 a.m.) London, May 29. A female shopkecpar was convicted of provoking the Mafeking day liot at St. flelier'!> (the ch;»f town of Jureey, onß of tte Channel Islands), and was sentenced to four d;.y.s' impi-onment. The Eight Hon. W. St. John F. Brodrick and M. Oambon (French Minister in England) made representation with regard io the disturbanees, and the Governor if Jersey has taken every precaution to prevent a recurrence.
