AN APPLICATION REFUSED.
THE NOTORIOUS DEAN CASE REVIEWED. (PBS PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received 18, 8.30 p.m. Sydney, May 18. The Full Court, after a lengthy consideration, refused R. D. Meagher's application for reinstatement on this roll of solicitors. He was struck off in connection with the notorious Dean case. The Chief Justice, in delivering the unanimous judgment of tlie Court, said that, seeing how recently the public mind had been disturbed over tho matter and how vivid the recollection must be, it was considered that the application was premature. On that ground alone the application would be refused. In a very few years a successful application might be made.
