A correspondent of the Express states that General Hunter, with a large force, including General Barton's, on reaching Wegdraai, the Boers retreated. General Hunter, proceeding, entered Christiana, The Scots Fusiliers, as the last to evacuate the Transvaal in 1881, were allowed the honour of hoisting the Union Jack.
