INTRODUCTION OF THE BILL. (Received 2, 2.30 a.m.) London, May 1. It is hoped that the Commonwealth Bill will be introduced on the 7tb. NEW ZEALAND'S OBJECTIONS. Auckland, May 1. The Agent-General has informed the Premier that the Prime Ministers of the Australian colonies have decided that they have no authority to accept amendments, and consider the admission of New Zealand is sufficiently provided for. The Secretary for State therefore does not feel justified in pressing on the amendments, as the question appears to him one which should be settled by the Australian colonies. Mr. Reeves has replied regretting the decision, and BtatiDg that he adheres to the position taken up by New Zealand.
