POLICE COURT.

Satubdat, April 21.—Before Mr. E. L. Stanford, S.M. DRUNKENNESS. 0. M. Sorenson was convicted on a charge of drunkenness and fined 5s and costs, or in default 24 hours' imprisonment. He was further charged with being a rogue and vagabond and being illegally on the premises of E. Setford. He pleaded not guilty to the second charge, and was remanded until Monday. VAGBANOY. Henry Shadrack was charged with being an idle person and having no visible means of support. He pleaded not guilty. Evidence, however, showed that he made no effort to earn money, and often went without food rather than work for it. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment with hard labour.
