VOLUNTEER ENCAMPMENTS.

(per press association.) Wanganui, April 13. The weather was wet and unpleasant to-day, but shows signs of clearing tonight. The camp at Tayforth, about three miles from town, is one of the biggest yet held, Upwards of 1600 men are under canvas, representing all branches of the service. Colonel Pitt is in command. The site is a good one, and well adapted for the purpose. Nelson-, April 13. The Nelson volunteers went into camp at Kicbmond last night, and today the Marlborough Mounted Rifles arrived, also the Marlborough Infantry. The West Coast men are just coming in. A new mounted local corps, the Wakatus, mustered strongly, Unfortunately the weather is wet, though it cleared for a few hours this morning.
