At a meeting of the Hospital Board, Dr. Trevor was re-appointed house surgeon, and Miss McAndrew, of Greymouth, hospital matron. There were 25 applications for the latter position. Wellington, April 12,
The Tutanekai finished repairing the old cable to-day. It was spliced in about ljj miles. It was found that the bottom is smooth, and it is believed, therefore, that the rolling was due to gal varus action.
