match Challengers against the Vvorld, which has novvbecome anannual nxture, came off on the bowling green yesterday afternoon in the presence of a n f . EUmber of public, and resulted m a win for the World by 14 points, the scores at the finish being Challengers 84 and the World 98. The rinks were as follow:

84 98 At the fourteenth head the Challengers were leading by 14 points, Rink No. 3 being 11 and No. 4 two ahead. At the 20th head the lead had been reduced to two, rinks 2 and 3 maintaming a good lead, while 1 and 4 had dropped behind. When the last was played No. 3 was the only rink leading, the scores totalling as stated above. .
During the afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Paul, Hall, and Gray, and was much appreciated by the players and visitors. A. return match will be played before the end of the season.
