i . A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE. (Racewed 23,9.20 a.m.) London, February 22. Colonel Baden-Powell has placed the Boer prisoners in the women's laager and Hospital at Mifeking to prevent the deliberate shelling of that part of the town. Colonel Plumer made a night attack on the Boers at Crocodile Pools on 12tb February, but failed owiog to watch dogs warning the Boer?. An explosion of dynamite when the attackers were amongst the entanglements surrounding the Boer position wounded 21 and killed 10 British.
