Ottawa, February 22. Mr. Mulock, Canadian PostmasterGeneral, declares that if the concessions asked aro granted to tho Eastern Extension Company tho success of thu Pacific cable will be endangered and the Eastern Extension Compmy would secure the control of the business.
London, February 22. The Hon. W. P. Reeves, AgentGeneral for New Zealand, has banded Mr. Chamberlain a strong protest against the granting of the Eastern Extension Company's concessions.

Sydney, February 23. Mr. Lyne says he quite agreed with the position taken up by Mr. Crick in regard to the Cape cable, and is only i waiting the settlement of a few details with Mr. Warren before cabling Home the acceptance of the Eastern Extension Co.'s proposals. As far as New South Wales is concerned • the- matteris settled.
