Hokxhka, January 25. A meeting will be called to consider the matter of sending five to ten Weets- . landers with the third contingent. Wellington, January 25. _ If the preparations of -the troopship * Undaunted will permit, the 23rd of February will be the date of the departure from Lyttelton of the third contingent. Mr. William Baine has offered to accompany the third 1 contingent, taking • a well-equipped pigeon kit and a suffifiinit number of birds for the carrying ■ of dtfpfttchtt. Auckland, January 25. Orders for 50 sets of saddlery equipage for the Canterbury contingent have been placed in Auckland.
