After paying expenses, the Demonstration Committee have a surplus of £l4O for the Patriotic Fond. The receipts were about .£361 and the expenses £221. The chief items in the latter were £B7 19s 8d for staging, £35 for corporation labourers, and £3l 10s for insurance of people on steamers.
