He will use the fastest means of transit, but only when pressure of Royal engagements > makes flying imperative. j The King, 'enthusiastic airman and I fine pilot, has given an undertaking never to pilot the aeroplane himself. The Air Council ordered the construction of a. special machine, a fist, low-wing monoplane capable of carrying the King, the Queen and the two Princesses, ia pilot and an attendant. Its maximum speed is more than 200 m.p.h., with a cruising speed of 175 i m.p.h. : Commander E. H. Fielden, Captain lof the King’s Flight, will be pilot, i The first members of the Royal Family to use the machine were the Duke ,and Duchess- of Kent, who flew to Shorncliffe Camp, Kent, to watch the Trooping of the King’s Colour by the Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment.
