A London cable- message' states that an honorary degr/e of Durham Cniversity has been conferred on Mr J. A. I-I.man, Chancellor of the Cni-'■ei’i-ity of New Zealand. Sympathy -with Mr W. O. Bredow in ths loss of IBs parents was expressed by (be SuTt'ord -executive of -he Farmers’ Union yesterday.
