OBITUARY.
Mr F. W. Bredow Mr Frederick William Bredow, formerly of Douglas, died at his home at Auckland on Sunday. He was 78 years of age, and his death occurred within two drays of that of his wife, i Mrs Bredow suffered, a heart attack ! two months ago, and the next day Mr Bredow became ill. Mr and Mrs BreIdow, who had planned to celehrute I their golden wedding anniversary | this year, were born in Germany in ; the same year, were married in the jtarly twenties, and emignated to New j Zealand, 60 years ago. They settled I first in the Mahawa'tu district, and later lived i. t Douglas, turning swamp I land into excellent farming country. I There are two sons and seven grandchildren. Before he left the Tara- ‘ na.ki d strict 12 years ago to live Ml : retirement 1 Auckland, Mr Bredow i had established a reputation as a ‘ breeder of Lincoln sheep, his s'lud ianmals gaining championship . aw.-i’GiS in all parts of the province.
