SOMERSET MATCH STRONG SIDE DISMISSED | New Zealands Steady Bowling ' I (From the special correspondent of j the United Press Association with ; the team). (Received 10.30 am.) Taunton, June 13. A consistently accurate length by Cowie and clever variation by Dunning, supported by alert fielding, assisted New Zealand to take nine County wickets in 'the match against Somerset for 170 runs. Then a stubborn I‘ast-wicket partnership by Bennett and Hazell added eighty-four in seventy minutes. This partnership was broken by Dunning with a beautiful off-spinner. The result proved very satisfactory to Ne t w Zealand, considering it is l & batsnjan’s wicket, and Somerset yesterday defeated a strong Glamorgan team by 263 runs. New Zealand in a bad failing light lost Carson and Tind-ill -to fast accur-, ate bowling by Wellard and An-! drews. Details are as follow: SOMERSET. First Innings.
