WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

LOUIS NOT RECOGNISED Farr-Schmeling Bout For Title Press Association—Copyright. (Received 1.30 p.m.) London, June 30. The British Boxing Board- of Control announces that it will recognise the Farr-Schmeling heavyweight bout as the world championship, because the Schmeling-Louis contest was the final elimination for the world championship, and was decisively won by Schmeling, whose right it was to meet Braddock. By withdrawing Braddock forfeited his claim to the title, hence the Braddock-Lewis fight can be regarded only as the American championship.
