MR BARNARD’S WORK EULOGISED Invitation To Conference Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, June 29. An invitation to participate in an Empire migration conference to be held at London in October has been extended to the Five Million Club, of which the Hon. W. E. Barnard is president. The decision to holt the conference was reached at a conference on migration held at Newcastle. England, about weeks ago. At the Newcastle conference reference was made ;o the work o: Mr Barnard tnd the . club is advocating migration, and congratulations were extended* to them for the efforts they were making to arouse interest in immigration to New Zealand. The cable message received by Mr Barnard is signed’ by Mt A. A. Somerville, M.P. for Windsor in the House of Commons, wir*» is chairman of the migration conference, London. It reads: “This* conference tenders warm congratulations to yourself and the Five Million Club on your active migration policy. Ycur c-.ub is invited to participate in an Empire migration conference to be opened at the Guildhall, London, oii October 11 by the Lord Mayor.” Mr Somerville also stated he was •forwarding details by mail. The club hopes to make arrangements to be represented at the conference.
