A young lady from Sydney, Australia, a young man from Washington, D.C., a minister’s son from lowa and a young man from Liverpool, England, have-the principal roles in RKO Radio’s new mystery drama, ‘ China Passage.” To round out thk half way-cround-the-World cast, many of the players were born in China, Korea and Japan and play Oriental roles in Ihe offering. Constance Worth, is the Australian girl who makes her debut in American filths as the heroine, while Vinton Haworth, whose firs l ! screen role was “Without Orders,” was born in the nation’s capital- Gordon Jones, a former lowan who came into pictures as >a football sLar at U.CL.A-. and Leslie Fenton, a British-born actor, are -co-featured. Dealing with the ingenious theft and even more ingenious recovery of a huge diamond stolen in Shanghai, the production by Cliff Reid offers plenty of novelty and > usperve -to film-goers. Much of ths -action takes place on a big liner running from Shanghai to San Francisco, with the mystery remaining a puzzle until the ship docks.
