The Australian Associated Press is able to state authoritatively that the Duke and Duchess of Kent will not visit Australia for the New South Wales Sesquecentenary. The position, as stated previously, is that. no. precedent, exists, for sesquecentennial visits which, if undertaken, impose obligations the Royal Family is unable to fulfil.
