Social And Personal Miss Joyce Hall left for Wellington this morning on a holiday visit to friends and relatives. Mrs J. Coupe’s sister, Miss Manson, of Palmerston North, is paying a short visit to Stratford. Miss M. Gill has been the guest of her mother, Mrs W. Gill. A number of Stratford residents were present in New Plymouth last evening at the Opera House to hear “The Merry Widow,” the house being packed with an enthusiastic audience. Some the visitors from Stratford were: Mr and Mrs A. H. R. Amess, Mr and Mrs H. Heslop, Mr and Mrs Galbraith, Mr and Mrs Barman, Mr and Mrs Heddidge, Mr and Mrs Wunsch, Mr and Mrs J. Clarke. Mr and Mrs McDowell, Mr and Mrs Hancock, Mesdames Crabbe, Vaughan, Sangster, Masters, S. Ward; Misses E. Moon, Walls, Sangster, Wunsch, D. Kehely, and Galbraith.
