TROUBLE AT DANCES
POLICE EVIDENCE Disorderly Behaviour Press Association —Copyright. Hamilton, June 15. "We have had a lot of trouble at these dances and doorkeepers have great difficulty in keeping order,” said Senior Sergeant G. H. Lambert in the Hamilton Police Court to-day when prosecuting William Henry Carter, aged 29, for disorderly behaviour while drunk and for using obscene language. Senior Sergeant Lambert said the offences occurred outside a Hamilton dance hall on Saturday night. Accused's conduct and language were so bad that the doorkeepers took him to the police station. On the first count accused was fined £3 and on the second count he was admitted to probation for 18 months. Special conditions were that accused should take out a prohibition order and should refrain from attending dance halls.
