The intention of the Government to purchase 166 acres of his prop rty ■' t Ohakea., between £r nson and Bulls, for -the purpose of an air force station has been conveyed to Mr F. O. Bailey by the Public Works partment, It it understootli that several other proper.i:s in the neighbourhood are to be acquired to provide cn aerodrome of 500 acres. Mr Bailey’s property, which is all first-class flat land, is ideal for the purpose. It is stated that when completed the station will be as big as, if not bigger tl'i n, the Wigram aerodrome a't Christchurch. The area is on the main AucklandWellington highway, two miles past Sanson, 17 miles from Palmerston North, and eight miles from Marton.
