BOWLERS ON TOP MIDDLESEX DISMISSED FOR 212 Brilliant Fielding By Tourists (From the special correspondent of the United Press Association with the team). (Received 11.30 a.m.) London, June 14. New Zealand went from strength to strength in the match against Middlesex. The first innings.' finished in an hour with a very useful total in the circumstances.

Then the New Zealand bowlers showed their ability -to take advantage of the favourable conditions andi dismissed a strong batting side in under four hours. Dunning had all the batsmen fidgety with the exception of the imperturbable Hendren, while Vivian maintained an excellent length and direction for long periods.

Fine catching and brilliant fielding enhanced the effectiveness of the attack. New Zealand also made a brilliant start in the second innings, Vivian and Hadlee knocking up 100 in 85 minutes despite the varied attack and splendid fielding. New Zealand's first innings totalled 268, to which Middlesex replied with 212, and Ithe tourists hed lost four wickets for 153 runs when stumps were drawn. Details are as follow: NEW ZEALAND.
