KING EDWARD PARK

Stratford’s Fine Asset Mr H. E. Lawrence at the Town Hall last night, speaking on the subject -of the Council’s control of the public reserves, said: “You have in King Edward Park a great asset to the town, and you should be proud of it. It is better than Pukekura Park in New Plymouth, which is tame :a>nd artificial. But King Edward Park is rugged andi wild, and you should keep it so.” His opinion was that all the parks should' be under the .nrJrol of the Borough Council There should be sufficient men to keep the parks in order, and unless work that was being done should be stopped.
