UNJUST MEASURE

Women And Unemployment Taxation Unfair and unjust were the terms used by Mrs M. T. Phillips at to-day’s meeting of the Stratford Hospital Board when referring to the position of women in employment who had to pay wages taxation but did not receive any assistance when out of work. On the motion of Mrs Phillips it was resolved to write the Minister of Employment, Hon. P. C. Webb, pointing out the injustice of the position.
