Shaw, Percy Avenue, has returned from an enjoyable visit to friends in Auckland. * * * Mr&> E. S. Rutherfurd has returned from Mokoia, where she spent the week-end with her mclthfet', Mrs Elawkin. * * * Miss Marion Pitt, who has been home for the holidays with her parents, left for ;Ngat.awa. this morning. * * * Miss Martha Steven spent the week-emj- with her parents,; Dr. and Mrs Steven. * * * Mrs L. J, Furrie entertained, the members of the Auction Portland Club yesterday afternoon at her residence, Orlando Street She had lovely bouquets of chrysanthemums and berries- in her drawing room. She was wearing a becoming black silk rayon frock. Those playing included Mesdames A. Coleman, A. W Mrs L. H. Jardine, u. J. Malone, J. Cress well, H. Het lop, D R. McLean.
