Commandant Lhopital, heading a deputation of French ex-service officers who are visiting Britain, disclosed a moving incident that occurred at a military cemetery during the war, when King George V. took the hands of Marshals Foch and Haig and joined them saying, “always united.” That, added Commandant Lhonital, was the message that the French ex-servicemen brought to England.
