TRAINING NURSES
NEED AT ROTORUA Solving The Difficulty Press Association —Copyright. Hamilton, June 11. "We have great difficulty in keeping nurses ajt Rotorua,” said Dr. M. M. Hockin, medical superintendent of tthe Waikato Hospital, at a meeting te-day He added that the board wfas paying £4 4s a week and expenses to nurses who had been engaged to work there.
As a solution of the difficulty Dr. Hockin recommended that application be made to the Nurses’ Registration Board asking Ithat the Rotorua Hospital be declared a "B" training school for nurses. There was no training done at the Rotorua Hospital at present. Dr. Hockin added that there was a general shortage of trained nurses. The recommendation was adopted.
