Hockin, medical superintendent of tthe Waikato Hospital, at a meeting te-day He added that the board wfas paying £4 4s a week and expenses to nurses who had been engaged to work there.

As a solution of the difficulty Dr. Hockin recommended that application be made to the Nurses’ Registration Board asking Ithat the Rotorua Hospital be declared a "B" training school for nurses. There was no training done at the Rotorua Hospital at present. Dr. Hockin added that there was a general shortage of trained nurses. The recommendation was adopted.
