Writ Filed In Supreme Court

With (the object of challenging the registration of the New Zealand Harbour Board Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers a writ has’ been tiled in the Supreme Court at Wellington. This seeks a declaration by the court that the registration of the union is illegal and of no effect: and an injunction restraining the union from acting in pursuance of that regis’tration. The writ was filed on June 7, the plaintiffs being the carpenters and joiners’, painters and.’ decorators’, plumbers and shipwrights’ unions. The defendants named are the. registrar of industrial unions and the New Zealand Harbour Board Employees’ TTninn
