Cr. N. R. Cleland was re-elected unopposed as chairman of the Whangamomona County Council at the adjourned special annual meeting yesterday., Cr. Cleland has been chairman since 1920. Congratulations to Mr W. L Kennedy, of Stratford, who celebrated’ his SOth birthday recently, were extended by the- faranaki Justices' of the Peace Association at the monthly meeting a* New Plymouth last night Mr R. de B. Hill, Government Stock inspector at Stratford, who recently arrived from Wairoa to replace Mr W. Harris, was welcorhed at /yesterday’s meeting of the Whangamomona Rabbit Board by the chairman, Mr N. R. Cleland. Appreciation of the work and interest of Mr Harris, who has been transferred to Wanganui, was expressed by board members.
