The New Zealandi cricketers accomplished a creditable performance to-day in dismissing Derbyshire for 241 runs in four hours on a good wic. Ijet. New Zealand had lost nine wickets for 151 runs at stumps. Derbyshire was the champion county last year and is sixth on the (table -this year. The weather was fine. The Derbyshire team includes Townsend, Aldermbn, Smith, Worthington, Mitchell and Copson, all of whom have coached or toured In the Dominion. A crowd of 5000 saw the tourists troubled by probably the strongest! county attack in England. Kerr batted patiently and Wallace brightly, but all the were uncertain of Mitchell's breaks till the advent of Page, who- looked as if he might have saved the situation if only he had found a partner to stay.
