Mr Debenham suffered slight injuries to his ribs, but he was able to return home after receiving attention from Dr. D. Steven. PAYMENT FOR HOLIDAYS. It is the intention of the New Zea- j land Employers’ Federation to under- i take the defence of any employers ■ who are prosecuted as a result of the judgment of Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the holiday bonus case at Wellington recently in which the magistrate ruled that clothing trade employees who had been paid their wages in full for a working week were entitled to payment for a prescribed holiday under the Factories Act on which ordinarily they would not have worked.
