! YOUNG MAN j ELECTOCUTED f I - Lines Broken By Falling Tree Earl Doughty, a young man, was killed by an electric shock on an EL tham farm about 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Along with two others he was engaged tree-felling on the property of Mrs Feron, Dalziel Road, when a r.mb of a tree broke a low-t nsion wire in its fall Mr Doughtiy caught i hold of the wire to pull it away and ; was killed instantly. j Power board officials and Drs. S. I' W. Crawford and D. H. Saunders attempted resuscitation but their prolonged efforts were unavailing. Mr Doughty, who wat' about. 22 j years of age, had been working for I Mrs Feron only for aboin* a •fortr>jgh‘. j His mother lives at Christchurch, but he has an uncle, Mr E. Crozier, 1 viiig ! at Collingwood Street, Eltham.
