YOUNG MAN KILLED Sequel To Football Match Press Association —Copyright. Whangarei, June 1. A Rugby football match, between, the railway employees of MaungatuToto and Welltford, played at Wellsford on Sunday, had a tragic sequel, a member of the Maungaturo. to team, Mr Arthur H. Marson, aged 25, losing his lit©. Mr Marson was returning home in a truck driven by Mr Jack Allen, of Maungaturoto, when the vehicle failed to take a bridge juslt below Mr Donald Finlayson’s property on the main highwiay. The truck crashed through the railing and fell into the (h'eek below. Mr Marton was killed outright, and Mr Allen, suffered a severe leg injury, which necessitated the insertion of 16 stitches when he was taken to the Paparoa Hospital. Mr Marson had been in the employ of the Railway Deptartment for the pasit nine years*. His home was at Te Pa papa, but he had been stationed at Maungaturoto for six months.
