SCHOOLS IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT Restrictions Lifted Press Association —Copyright. Wellington, May 29. An announcement that schools in the Wellington district and in Gisborne would reopen on Monday was made by the Acting-Prime Hon. P. Fraser. He said that all restrictions regarding the attendance of children at picture theatres and public gatherings would be removed as from the end of the week. "It is felt that the infantile paralysis epidemic has subsided, to such an extern that it is now possible safely to remove all restrictions,” said Mr Fraser. The Wellington Education Board was advised by the Minister yesterday that he had authorised the reopening on May 31 of those schools in the board's district that are a>t present closed—those In Wellington city and suburbs.
