EMPIRE BISCUITS. Halt pound flour, quarter pound butter, ’ quarter pound suglir, one small egg, half teaspoon baking powder, on/- teaspoon ground cinnamon, jam, water. Add and mix as usual. Roll out thinly and cut Into biscuits. Let it stand a while before putting in oven, or if preferred leave mixture to stiffen a bit before rolling out. Bake 20 minutes in moderate oven. Spread jam on some. Others cover tcVs with Icing sugar and place toge'her: (that is on top of the jam ones.)
